Financial Literacy Day is a long-term educational project of the PARTNERS Foundation, the aim of which is to provide educational activities to increase financial literacy in Slovakia. The Financial Academy training cycle and lectures at schools that focus on young people to learn the basics of effective financial management before they receive their first paycheck run under its patronage.
The foundation has also prepared the knowledge contest for students called the Financial Olympics, which offers secondary school students the opportunity to test and compare their level of financial literacy. The competition is open to all secondary school students who want to test their knowledge of the world of finance in three rounds during the school year.
Financial Olympics will start in November
A student who fills in the registration form after the end of the first round of the online exam on the website www.financnaolympiada.sk, will automatically be included in the competition with the school he/she attends. In the first two rounds, which will take the form of an online exam, students can use any of the available tools. In the final round, which is organized in the office of the PARTNERS Foundation, students only have to rely on their financial knowledge. Although the competition is intended for secondary school students, anyone can test their knowledge in the first open round.
The winners will receive exciting prizes, the school and the teachers will receive a financial contribution. The 9th year of the competition will start in November 2020!
The foundation also focuses its educational activities on seniors, for whom it has prepared a two-semester course in Financial Literacy in cooperation with the University of the Third Age in Žilina.
