Even in these difficult times of distant form of education we do not remiss in our duties and continue in developing skills and acquiring new knowledge in the field of financial literacy. Many activities confirming this effort are taking place.
One of them is establishing a bank account via a role play which is a situation method. At first pupils were listening to explained information. Subsequently they were divided into groups of four. In each group they were supposed to assign the roles. One of the group was supposed to be a bank clerk, then there was one to explain terms and two who wanted to open a bank account – a mother with a child and a couple or business partners.
They had prepared a presentation with images and text supporting the role play. Via Microsoft Teams all the pupils were involved in the meeting but only the playing group had their cameras and microphones on. One of the group – the presenter was sharing the presentation for the others. And so the theatre started. Even from the domestic environment pupils were able to explain the procedure of opening a bank account including all the necessary contracts and documents. They explained every term they had used, for example biometrics, specimen signature, daily limit, SMS notification and many more.
Even on cameras they were successful!
